Club History

The Langhorne Creek Bowling Club was officially opened in October 1961 with the first men’s pennant side being fielded in the Alexandrina Association during the 1961/62 season. The first women’s pennant side soon followed and was fielded in the GSWBA for the 1962/63 season. Since then the Club has experienced regular pennant success for both men and women.

In 1962 the Club resolved to build what is still its current clubhouse, which was opened on April 10th 1963. The club and surrounds have had various improvements over the years, including a verandah, lighting for the greens, and extensions to the bar area.

The Club and its members are renowned for their friendly and welcoming nature, and the Club continues to grow in membership and stature as a result.
